Selah, a spectacular new master-planned community just south of Norman, boasts a signature restaurant well worth the short drive down I-35. Located right at the neighborhood entrance, Pryor’s Pizza Kitchen is quickly becoming a premier dining and entertainment destination.

Pryor’s operates as a traditional coal-fired pizza kitchen. We started with the wedge salad, which swaps standard bacon for delicious pieces of crispy pork belly. For the main course, we sampled the namesake Pryor’s Pizza—a savory, meat-lover’s dream that was excellent, if a little salty—and the Thor, a refreshing white sauce pizza topped with chicken, feta, and fresh arugula. Both featured a wonderfully crispy artisan crust with typically authentic, slightly soggy coal-fired centers, served with a delicious house-made garlic ranch.

To drink, we paired our meal with a classic Moscow Mule and The Beth, a fruity berry-whiskey cocktail that was highly flavorful but could have used a heavier pour. Families will love the menu, which features kids' pizzas, chicken tenders, and a selection of macaroni dishes.

The restaurant itself is a large, open room with a lively energy, though the acoustics means it gets extremely noisy. It’s not the spot for a cozy date night, but it is perfect for a fun night out with friends or family. The experience also extends outdoors to a massive lawn featuring pickleball courts, cornhole, ping pong, a playground, and live music every Saturday night.

Living in Selah: A Masterpiece of New Urbanism

If you love the vibe at Pryor's, living here is an even bigger draw. Located south of Riverwind Casino near Goldsby, this 540-acre development offers a peaceful escape with quick access to I-35. Selah is built on the principles of New Urbanism, a design movement that promotes sustainable, walkable communities where housing, retail, and public spaces coexist.
